If you are a fan of the movie The Princess Bride, like I am, this is a must-read book (or must-listen if you are an audiobook listener like me). Cary Elwes, if you don't know, stars in the movie as Wesley/The Dread Pirate Roberts.

Elwes interviews all of the major actors in the movie who are still with us and tells the story of the creation of the movie from the writing of the original script by William Goldman all the way through the eventual success of the movie in the video rental market. Goldman is the author of the book that the movie is based and was an experienced and well-respected writer of screenplays, having written the Academy Award-winning scripts for All the President's Men and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. He also said that The Princess Bride was his favorite script and he wouldn't trust it to just anyone.

When he can, Elwes incudes audio clips for the quotes he included in the original book. If there are no audio clips available, he has the same actor consistently read the quotes. It is a nice touch, actually hearing things like director Rob Reiner describe the pitch he made to Golden and Wallace Shawn describe how nervous he was making the movie and how he never really understood the humor of his character Vizzini and never has no idea why everyone thinks this is an iconic role.

The book is a joy to listen to and I thoroughly enjoyed all of the little stories that made up this audiobook.

Way back when, I read every book in this series from cover to cover as quickly as they came out. I did the same with at least two other follow-up series from these authors and, if I remember correctly, I read other books that were connected to this series - but not by the original authors. He packs, loads, hauls and unloads households - more than 3,000 of them by his estimation. Finn Murphy's transportation for a promotional book tour . Murphy tells about the generalities of driving a big truck, particularly a moving truck. For me, the fascination of getting into the head of a serial killer has long since passed and I end up feeling soiled and abused after every excursion into this area. But, I read The Highway because I do enjoy C.J. Box's work quite a bit and I grudgingly like his Cody Hoyt character - he is exasperating and full of gigantic character flaws but just when you have had enough of him he pulls himself together and he gets the job done. Set in the New Mexico and Arizona territories in 1863-1865, Sing Down the Moon is the story of a teenaged Navajo girl named Bright Morning.  Despite the fact that the American Civil War is raging in the East, this is a tough time for the Navajo. There are pressures from the people they call Spaniards who raid the Navajo and other Native Americans in search of slaves (undoubtedly the "Spaniards" were Spanish-speaking Mexicans that were living in the territory before Mexico lost it to the United States at the end of the Mexican War in 1848.)
